Just Cuts has embarked on a major partnership with the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for Australian families facing blood cancer.

Just Cuts CEO Amber Manning was joined by Stylists at the 2024 campaign launch at Madame Tussauds in Sydney’s Darling Harbour. Stylists from Just Cuts Campbelltown, Corrimal and Wollongong volunteered their time to host a shave, cut and colour activation on Thursday and Friday to help members of the public get involved with the national drive for blood cancer awareness and donations.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s mission includes offering practical and emotional support services to patients and families, funding game-changing blood cancer research, and advocating for change. Just Cuts is proud to be a major partner in supporting the Leukaemia Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of every Australian facing blood cancer through the World’s Greatest Shave.

Amber was thrilled to show her support for the new partnership with the World’s Greatest Shave by having her hair coloured pink and purple.

“It’s a heartbreaking reality that Australia loses 16 people to blood cancer every day. That's 16 mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, siblings, and grandparents. 16 families that lose someone they love to blood cancer,” said Amber. “We’re excited to partner with the World’s Greatest Shave to help drive progress on their mission towards zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035.”

“Just Cuts is a family-owned brand made up of small family-owned businesses that have styled and supported families of Clients across multiple generations. As a family-focused brand, our Stylists are so proud to be helping to make a difference in the lives of people impacted by blood cancer.”

There are more people diagnosed with blood cancer now than ever before, with the incidence of blood cancer soaring by 47% in Australia over the past decade. Just Cuts is calling on the community to join them in supporting families impacted by blood cancer.

Sign-ups for the World's Greatest Shave are available for individuals and teams from anywhere in Australia at worldsgreatestshave.com or by calling 1800 500 088.“By participating in the World's Greatest Shave with a shave, cut, or colour, you can help shape a brighter future for blood cancer patients and their families,” said Amber.

“The World’s Greatest Shave is your perfect excuse to get that ‘other’ hairstyle you’ve always wanted. “Whether you choose mullets, mohawks, full fringes or flat tops, anyone can get cut, coloured and shaved and transform their head into a billboard for blood cancer support and research.”

Since 2000, the Leukaemia Foundation has funded over 360 blood cancer research grants, representing over $86.5 million in blood cancer research funding in today’s current dollar value.

Just Cuts will also be a major partner of the World’s Greatest Shave in 2025.

More about Just Cuts

Just Cuts is an Australian hairdressing franchise that bridges the gap between a barber and a high-end hair salon. With salons in every state of Australia, on both the North and South Islands, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, it is the largest hairdressing company in the Southern Hemisphere. Based on a fixed price, no appointment system, Just Cuts offers clients affordable haircuts from fully qualified hairdressers and performs over 100,000 Style Cut cuts per week across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Celebrating 30 years in 2020, Just Cuts was the brainchild of Denis McFadden, who turned a simple idea into a business concept that would change the hairdressing industry forever. McFadden ran his first ever “no appointment, $6 Style Cut” promotion at his humble Sydney salon, receiving an outstanding response from clients. It was on this basic fixed-price initiative that the idea of Just Cuts was born. The following year, the inaugural Just Cuts salon opened its door to the public. In 1990, the first Just Cuts franchise opened in the suburb of Engadine, in the south of Sydney, New South Wales. Our brand has continued to expand ever since, with over 220 locations across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

In 2013, Just Cuts launched JUSTICE Haircare– a range of salon-quality haircare and styling products available exclusively in all our salons at a competitive, affordable price.
