Just Cuts™ Franchising donates over 20,000 hair care products to Wesley Mission

10 Jul 2015
Last week, Just Cuts™ Franchising donated over 20,000 of hair care products to Wesley Mission, to be distributed to Australians in need, as part of their ongoing commitment to local charities.

“We’re incredibly grateful for our ability as a business to give back to the community and are proud to know that we can make a difference in the life of others”, says Just Cuts™ CEO and founder, Denis McFadden.

Reverend Dr Keith Garney, CEO of Wesley Mission, was delighted by the generous donation of hair products. “It is a very substantial and practical way of helping those in need,” Dr Garner said. “Wesley Mission provides accommodation and cares for many people who are disadvantaged as well as providing basic necessities they simply cannot afford.  The donation from Just Cuts™ will certainly help us in this important work”, he continued.

Dr Garner added that, “recent research shows that a growing number of Australians are living beyond their means, skipping meals, going without heating and have little money left over for personal care. Assisting people with basic items like shampoo or other hair care products can be an encouragement in lifting esteem in finding a new job, mending a relationship or recovering from mental health issues.”

Just Cuts™ first partnered with Wesley Mission in 2013, setting a new Guinness World Record for the most number of haircuts conducted in eight hours at the Wesley Haircut for Homelessness event in Sydney. Just Cuts™ is also an official corporate supporter of the Royal Flying Doctor Service and SANE Australia.
