There is a lot more involved in being a franchise owner than having the money required to buy a franchise. At the same time, you do not need to be a hairdresser, nor do you need to be in your salon full time.
What is required is a keen interest both in the business and maintaining your Just Cuts™ salon at a consistent high level. At Just Cuts™ we don't dictate that you, the franchise owner, be active within the salon, however it is imperative that you select a Team Leader for your Just Cuts™ salon based on the following criteria:
- Committed to the role and willing to work as hard as is required to get the job done.
- Interested in meeting people
- Capable of high quality public relations with the Just Cuts™ customers and your team.
- Capable of working with and accepting advice from the franchisor and his team.
- Self-motivated, self disciplined and sales orientated.

What will you get?
When you open a new Just Cuts™ salon it can be opened in two different ways. The first way is a “Hands On” approach, which allows for on the job training.
Once a suitable site has been assessed and council regulations and requirements have been met, the interior and exterior design is architecturally planned in conjunction with the franchise owner and Just Cuts™ Franchising.
The Just Cuts™ management team is on hand at all times to assist you with the opening requirements of your new business, such as overseeing building renovations, and helping you with any items on the “New Salon To Do List.” A member of the Just Cuts™ management team is also assigned to each new salon, for the opening and for the next week or two to provide in-house support and assistance.
The second way to open a new Just Cuts™ salon is to use the “Turn Key” approach. A turn key package is where after the initial site selection, you as the franchise owner need to do nothing other than turn the key on opening day. This option usually takes between five and eight weeks.
The Franchisor looks after all national advertising, which is professionally prepared and highly effective. A permanent advertising and marketing manager is also employed by the franchisor to take care of preparation of all your local advertising requirements. The advantages of group advertising allow for advertising and marketing campaigns that an independent business could simply not afford.
Owners meetings are held regularly to go over any issues and to compare events in each other's businesses. Just Cuts™ also has a FAC (Franchise Advisory Council) which is a group of franchisees voted onto the council by all franchisees, which meet on a regular basis to discuss areas within Just Cuts™ and advise the franchisor of issues that the franchisees have raised.
In addition there is a monthly Just Cuts™ newsletter, which provides details of upcoming promotional campaigns, product development and monthly topics on how to deal with salon issues.
How much is a Just Cuts™ franchise?
The cost of a franchise ranges between $150,000 and $220,000.
