Since opening our first salon in suburban Sydney in 1990 we’ve grown to a network of 150 salons – that’s an average of a new salon opening every six weeks. We now employ over 1,500 hairdressers, in every state of Australia and both islands of New Zealand, and we do more than 60,000 style cuts a week.

Just Cuts™ is based on an original idea conceived by founder Denis McFadden in the late 80’s. A qualified hairdresser with extensive experience in Sydney and London, Denis recognised a change in client wants and needs. He ran a trial promotion for a “no appointment, fixed price” style cut, and the response was outstanding.

To ensure the quality, convenience and value of the Just Cuts™ concept, operations procedures were developed and a franchise model chosen. Franchised businesses are generally considered to have a better chance of success over independent small businesses and by franchising we’re able to deliver the best possible result for our clients. We have more locations, our quality is monitored, we’ve invested in our own exclusive product ranges, we have our own training academy, our combined purchasing power brings benefits, and we’re able to guarantee our prices.

Denis McFadden remains as Franchisor, we remain Australian based and privately owned. Our Australian operations are headquartered at Cronulla, and our New Zealand head office is based in Auckland.
